I'm hoping that the new iDevice has more porn functionality. Sure, the iPod can hold a lot of porn with its little hard drive, but I want something that can help me with my porn needs on the go.
I've noticed so far that Stevie has left "Porn" out of the Digital Lifestyle. Apparently they don't make a lot of black turtleneck porn.
So far, the only possible hope that Apple will be helping me out with my porn needs is the holes on the new power mac case.
Logistical problems aside, I don't really understand how useful a small video playing device would be. What market segment would be targeted with such a unit? I don't design video to be seen on a tiny screen, and I don't enjoy watching video on one either. I believe there are many more significant areas to concentrate on prior to venturing into such a limited market. I would think a digital camera would be a more plausible possibility.
Re-read my post. I'm talking about a device that has a tiny screen, but also has video out jacks for connecting to a computer monitor or (possibly) a TV/VCR/Projector.
With a 20GB drive one could store nearly two hours of good quality video on a pocket-sized drive; making it easy to share my iMovies, especially for school or work.
Is there a market for this? I dunno. I'm just curious whether or not it's possible.
Intel is releaseing with it's partners a portable media player, including video... early next year.
If iPod expands to include video, why not add an input option via a firewire video camera. Think gameboy snake light type device with firewire end.. can be used for video confrerncing as well from laptops..
