Back in the day when everyone got content over the air and it was free the ads were needed to support it. Also in the past when you paid to see something there were no ads. The content owners want it both ways now. This is nothing new they been trying for a while. Ads when you go to movie at theater, ads at the beginning of dvd, and so on.
The movie industry has over valued their content, just like music industry and most of what they put out is not worth it so the lump the garbage in and make us pay higher cost just to see the good stuff.
