Macbook chirping

My 2012 Macbook makes chirping sounds out of the speaker every once in a while. Sometimes once a day. Sometimes every couple of minutes for a short stretch. It sounded familiar, and I finally placed it. Sounds just like the chirp when you hold down the power button a few seconds to shut down the machine. It's never actually shuts down or even seemed to try from what I can tell, since it never asked me if I really want to shut down, but it is rather annoying and frustrating. Anybody have any idea what might be causing this? It's not the battery as it's usually plugged in, and battery health is 94%.

    I haven't seen this in some time, but your speakers need to be replaced.
