a ten episode series sounds awfully short to tell the Foundation story.
Seasons? 10?
Curious I suppose to sew what story they are telling from the literary universe
The "first" book that he wrote was very episodic itself, so it would actually lend itself well to an episodic TV series. The second and third were less so, as I recall. It's been a while.
There is no southern Ireland. Only the northern half of it exists. The southern half of the northern half of Ireland also does not exist, so really, it's only the northern 25% of it. Locals refer to it as "northern northern Ireland" or simply "Ireland. The one that exists. In the north. Of northern Ireland."
Sorry, just being a punk. I couldn't help myself; no offense meant.
I agree though, the article did get it wrong. Especially this:
"While Screen Ireland states that "Foundation" is the largest production filmed on location in the country, it's not clear how that compares to "Game of Thrones," which was filmed in Northern Ireland."
It's not clear... unless you glance at a map and maybe read the first 3 paragraphs of the UK's wikipedia page, or know geography or the history of the islands. Then it's clear that it compares in precisely the same as any other film production that took place in any other country that is likewise not the Republic of Ireland: they were filmed in different countries.
TBH, before today I was ignorant of the Republic of Ireland having seceded from the UK in 1922. I assume the author was similarly in the dark.
