I know it does, but it's always shows the little privacy mask when it does it. See here:

There is no mask placeholder where the ad should be at the top of the page. And it's not because I'm using OW specifically. I have OW masquerading as IE 5.5 for windows, so to a server, that's what I look like. Not that I'm complaining...

ps - EmAn, you get OW to block ads by selecting the privacy pane in the preferences for OW and telling it what types of images you want blocked. For example, ads* will block anything coming from a server with ads in the beginning. You can add things like kermit.macn* to get rid of most of the ads on MacNN's page. (And, please people, resist the urge to turn this thread into a debate about ad revenue versus free content.)

if you're seeing ads, it wasnt me. someone must've beat me to it. damn!

i actually dont mind the ads here since they are small non-intrusive banners. nothing is as bad as those pop-up ads that multiply like roaches! kill one, get 5 more... <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

ads are temporarily gone as there are problems with the ad server.
