    I certainly hope they do.

One of the WORST things about the iPhone is the lack of an easily swappable battery.  Back when I had flip phones, I'd have a couple batteries on the charger all the time, and when my phone ran out of power I'd just change the battery.  It wasn't uncommon for me to swap the battery a few times a day.  And with that, I didn't have to be tethered to anything while the battery charged.

With the iPhone, the only way to do the same thing is have two iPhones and swap SIM cards out, and yes, I have done that.  Fortunately battery cases exist, but there's no reason they should have to, the battery could be replaceable.
