Disney + is good value for money if you have kids. Streaming quality good, and a large catalogue too.

Apple TV+ is OK while free, but definitely not worth paying for. I can’t see that changing come next November. It is too...barren.

It wil take time for apple to Build up its Library.  Disney Library didn't happen over night.   They, "Apple" Need  Hit series that will attract A younger Audience.  JMO.
Good luck to them building up their library with new content filming in a pandemic.  Amongst its many other casualties, COVID-19 may well kill off Apple TV+.  As you say, it desperately needs new content in order to make a mark, but once everyone has exhausted the current roster of titles in their first free year, what will there be ready to replace them?

Netflix and Disney+ have enough older content to keep people exploring and subscribing for a long time. Not so Apple.  I can see their numbers falling off a cliff tbh.

I refuse to participate. I’m not going to spend yet more money on yet more subscriptions every month just to have the content that every studio is removing from Netflix because they each want in on the streaming platform market. Every single IP owner wants its own streaming service? I can’t afford it and it’s a ludicrous market concept. Piracy will worsen with this nonsense.
There is certainly going to be a day of reckoning for all of this. Users simply aren’t going to pay $10/mo (on average) each for a dozen different streaming services. Cord cutting is going to hit a brick wall at some point. Why cut the cord when you wind up spending more than you did on your cable/satellite package? And we haven’t even talked about software subscriptions yet

Comparing Apple TV+ to Disney is like comparing a baseball rookie's home-run count average to the entire history of the Yankees.

Apple is starting from the ground up. TV+ is less than 1 year old. Disney has been around for 100 years.

I can see apple buying Disney in 2021/2022.
That’s not going to happen. The time for Apple to have made a takeover attempt of Disney was in 2008 when the entire market was crashing.

It’s pretty easy to convince yourself that you can save $7 a month somewhere else even if you don’t cut the cord.
