Rumored 'Powerbeats Pro 2' could be minor update to Powerbeats Pro
A pair of model numbers recently discovered in multiple international regulatory filings hinted at a next-generation Beats headphone, but new information suggests the device may actually be related to an existing product that's already in circulation.

It's likely that the recently discovered models with updated numbering are largely similar to Apple's current Powerbeats Pro.
In April, the FCC approved what appeared to be new Apple earphone models, A2453 and A2454, which suggested that an update to Powerbeats Pro was on the way. Similar filings saw approval in Malaysia and South Korea.
However, new evidence suggests that the model numbers reference a minor internal update that will be launched -- or has launched -- without an announcement. Specifically, Apple's Declarations of Conformity for the European Union already list the A2453/A2454 model numbers as current products.
Their listing on Apple's webpage indicates that the company views the new model numbers -- which individually refer to the right and left earbuds -- as a current-generation product. Further, illustrations supplied with previous filings reveal an unaltered Powerbeats Pro design, the sole modification being a switch to A2453 and A2454 on the units' regulatory declarations labels.
MacRumors reported the change to Apple's regulatory database on Thursday.
While it's currently unknown what changes the new models introduce, it is likely that there aren't any major updates to public-facing specifications.

I had the PowerBeats 3 prior to these and while I also liked them the Pro's are several magnitudes better. They are a fantastic product.
"Cook has been great for shareholder"
No he hasn't. Apple has said many times they don't put shareholders first. Heck a lot of people think Cook not being good to them is a strategy which the theory has been proven by stock buybacks. He lets them panic then buys at the low. With that said, in my opinion, Cook has been TERRIBLE with shareholders.
" but is Apple going to release anything groundbreaking? Phone, watch, computers, services, me too speakers"
Geez iPhone/iPad/Apple TV/Apple Pay/Siri/HomePod/Watch/Airpods aren't enough? Name ONE other tech company who's made this many creative products in this amount of time. Scratch that, name ONE company who's made a product as ground breaking as one of Apple's.
And what me too speakers? WTF? Are you talking about the speakers that use a wannabe Siri voice and Siri commands but made by spy companies? Or the speaker that was in development before them and had the entire industry copy their "ugly" design?
"You can only ride old ideas so long before someone else comes along and displaces you. "
AirPods and Watch are too old for you? You do know Apple is still selling out of iPhones and iPads? A product isn't old until it's replaced like the Sony Walkman. If you ran Apple you'd cancel anything older than AirPods right?
"even Jeff Bezos is planning for that day at Amazon and looking to do something in space exploration."
For the past decade I've heard idiots claim Apple sucks because of what Google is "planning".
"What is Cook going to do? Give us another 13” MBP that is a few clock cycles faster? A 5th and 6th camera on a phone? A watch that shows the time for 24 hours before a recharge? "
Every company in history has been doing this. Television companies have "just" been giving us better TVs. Tesla is "just" giving us slightly better cars. Oh wait, this is Apple so they're held to a different standard.
"Ooh, maybe a car? Oh wait so much for that. "
Why? So you can call it an "old idea" a year later? Is Apple obligated to please you every year with a new invention?
" Maybe another docudrama about animals in Africa?"
That documentary isn't even 6 months old. This tells me you'd be whining for a new Apple Car 6 months later or an Apple Jet.
"changes iPhone 16 from the iPhone 4 look to the iPhone 6 look (again)."
Yet 99.9% of iKnockoffs use the iPhone design. Oh wait this is Apple so they're held to a different standard. Apple must invent something new every 6 months.
Just to inform people:
During Cooks reign he's released 2 of the most successful products in Apple history. Looking at statistics one is in 2nd place and another is in 4th. I'll let you do the research. Tim is no Steve but there is also no other Tim. I predict when Tim dies or retired people will bit** and complain that Tim was better. Just watch.
The last earphone pair I had in this form factor was the PowerBeats 2. I had absolutely no complaints and enjoyed them.
I have since, moved on to the AirPods and then the AirPods Pro. My next pair will probably be the rumoured Apple-branded over-the-ear headphones.
