Apple has begun sending out prizes to the winners of its WWDC Swift Student Challenge, a contest aimed at promoting the Swift language and celebrating new developers. The prize, a jacket and set of pins, had reportedly been due to arrive on June 22, the day WWDC starts, but one winner, Chain Reaction Games, has revealed that his has already come.

The prize comes in a presentation case which includes the jacket, plus a set of pins. There's also a card from Apple.

"Congratulations! You did it," says the card. "You put your coding skills to the test and are now a WWDC20 Swift Student Challenge winner. The Swift playground you built reflects innovation and creativity, two things we care deeply about at Apple."

"And we're thrilled to present you with this exclusive, well-earned award," it continues. "We appreciate your enthusiasm for Apple technologies and are incredibly pleased to support your coding efforts."

"As we look forward to WWDC20, although our gathering will be virtual this year, we want to recognize and celebrate the creative contributions of our young developers from around the world," Apple's senior vice president of Software Engineering Craig Federighi said of the contest. "We can't wait to see this next generation of innovative thinkers turn their ideas into a reality through the Swift Student Challenge."
