I wonder how long it will be before law schools all over the USA offer

201 - How to sue Applle
    courses.

It seems that every human (edited for PC correctness), their dogs (all breeds) and their pet black widow spiders(females only) are trying to file suit against Apple these days.

I usually assume that a patent case has no merit if it gets filed in Texas.

Headline should read "Another dying company needs money."
That's it in a nutshell I suspectl.  The family is probably praying Apple decides to buy them out and close them down.

So they don't own any patents on Bluetooth, but they are suing because they claim their patents cover the CONCEPT of sending audio to a speaker wireless?

I don't think this is going anywhere.
That is why I am betting on my flying car and spaceship patents even I know nothing about how to build one.
    i might hit big.
    I went straight for teleportation.

    Starfleet owes me big time.
That's good, but my Warp Drive patent will be the biggest winner.

Wow ... I really liked their PortaPro line, though my last pair with volume and center button functionality  - wonder if they paid Apple a royalty? - had much too thin wires that broke in less than a couple of weeks.

Too bad they've turned into a Patent Troll.

Basically, it looks like they're taking the definition of a headset - used for like a century at telephone exchanges - and added wireless to it making anyone who creates a wireless headset susceptible to their patent.

That seems waaayyy too broad and obvious to me, and puts them in the troll category - sort of like creating a patent for using a mechanism to change the direction of a moving vehicle and suing all car manufacturers with steering wheels.

This could be a patent which will ultimately be invalidated due to prior art.

The funniest thing is if you look at the reviews of the Koss PortaPro bluetooth headset on Amazon, you'll see users complaining about the terrible range of the unit. If you put the iPhone into your jeans pocket, it stutters because it's out of range.

If everyone and his cousin stole Koss technology, they sure did improve on it 😄.

Prior art and obviousness. I doubt these will go anywhere. Is it in East Texas?
