Apple Store Field Trips retired & replaced with new educational experience

The 12-year-old Apple Store Field Trip program has been removed in favor of a new experience that Apple plans on launching in the future.

Much like Apple's "Today At Apple" sessions, the Apple Store Field Trip program has been disrupted by the coronavirus pandemic. However, Apple has removed the registration page for Apple Field Trips, and is promising that a "new educational experience" will replace the Apple Field Trip program.

As an alternative to the Apple Store Field Trip program, 9to5Mac notes that Apple is continuing the Apple Camp at Home sessions.

Launched in 2008, the Apple Field Trip program enabled kindergarten through twelfth-grade students to take a trip to the Apple Store to partake in group sessions focusing on creativity. The sessions encouraged students to work with Apple Creative Pros on creative projects and helped to show educators how best to utilize Apple gear and resources in the classroom.

The similarly cancelled Today at Apple sessions have
begun migrating to a digital space, and will likely return to retail stores when possible.
