Quietly added to the roster on Saturday, passengers flying on American Airlines will be able to access the Apple TV+ video-streaming service during transit. The extra viewing option provides full access to the Apple TV+ service, at no additional cost.
Access to Apple TV+ on an American flight is provided to both existing in-flight entertainment systems built into the aircraft as well as via mobile devices brought aboard, reports The Points Guy. The in-flight system includes a number of Apple original shows preloaded, saving users from having to search the entire Apple TV+ roster.
The shows preloaded on the in-flight systems at launch include:
The Apple TV+ content is available to all passengers for free, regardless of whether or not they have an existing Apple TV+ subscription.
The extra viewing option is a continuation of a partnership between American Airlines and Apple, regarding in-flight entertainment. In 2019, Apple Music was available to listen to in flights for subscribers without paying extra for Wi-Fi, albeit access was limited to a user's personal library, curated playlists, and the global Beats 1 stream. Searches of the wider Apple Music library is possible, but under paid Wi-Fi connections.

At just $4.99(GrEdY APPlE!!) a month, I imagine people will get hooked with a few episodes and finish them on their iPhone.
Since people usually game on TV what do you think of Apple Arcade being part of TV+?
Apple will make less money but I feel user engagement and subscription retention would jump through the roof.
