Final Cut Pro X was updated in August with support for 8K speed, social media tools, and proxy tools, and this is the first bug fix for the video software since. The release notes detailed specific fixes for performance and reliability.
  • Fixes an issue in which XAVC media from Sony PXW-FX9 camera is not recognized
  • Fixes an issue where brightness levels shift when switching between Better Quality and Better Performance in the viewer
  • Fixes an issue in which effect key frames are not added correctly when using onscreen controls
  • Improves Stability when using the transform tool with multiple clips in the timeline
  • Improves reliability when exporting an FCPXML that contains Compound clips
  • Addresses an issue which could prevent sharing at certain resolutions
  • Fixes an issue in which sharing a Compound or Multicam clip from the timeline was disabled
Thursday's iMovie updated brought bug fixes relating to an exporting and sharing issue with media in HD and 4K. The update also addressed stability when importing media.

Apple's other Mac video tools -- Motion and Compressor -- received minor updates that fixed a bug with XAVC media from Sony PXW-FX9 cameras.
