Announced on Saturday a week before the offer takes place, customers who purchase an iPhone 11 from Apple's online store covering India from October 17 will get a pair of AirPods for free as part of their order. A banner in the online Apple Store advises of the upcoming Diwali offer.
As reported by the Times of India, there are some terms and conditions that may apply, and elements Apple has yet to announce, such as when the offer period closes. It is also unknown if there will also be any price changes as part of the sales event.
A notice on Apple's website for India advising of the offer.
At present, the iPhone 11 is priced from Rs 68,300 ($936), or from Rs 8,038 ($110) per month, without a trade-in and for the lowest-priced model. The cost can reduce down to Rs 49,300 ($675), or Rs 5,802 ($79) per month, as part of a trade-in. It is likely the AirPods offer will also apply to purchases of the iPhone 11 Pro lineup, though this has yet to be confirmed.
Apple launched its online store for India on September 23, as part of its efforts to enter the burgeoning Indian market. Following recent changes to local commerce laws that were preventing Apple from operating its own retail outfit, Apple has now moved into online retail on its own, complete with localized Apple Specialists and trade-in support.
Apple is expected to open its first brick-and-mortar flagship store in Mumbai in 2021.

There's more than a billion people in the country but the average income is under $2000 (No, I'm not missing a digit) so Apple really has to wait for the economy in the country to grow before they'll be able to do much there.
