After nearly a month of lockdown, England's 32 Apple Stores will reopen under the new tiered COVID restriction system, and customers are now able to use the iPhone Upgrade Program.

The reopening of Apple Stores on Wednesday is allowing the one-blocked iPhone Upgrade Program to continue in the country. England locked down on November 5, just days before the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max launch in the country. This lockdown prevented users from getting the new iPhone using the iPhone Upgrade Program due to requirements to sign contracts in-person.

Stores in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland remain in an appointment-only capacity, allowing users to pick up orders or request support. Customers looking to upgrade their iPhone using the iPhone Upgrade Program can make appointments and reserve their desired model online.

Not all UK stores have returned to full operation, reports iMore. Users can see which stores are limited using the UK Apple Store list . Temperature checks and masks are required in order to enter Apple Stores, and Apple will provide masks to those who need them.

As Apple Stores open and close around the world, keep track by accessing Appleinsider's Apple Store tracker.

Too late for me. I had an iPhone 12 Pro on order under the upgrade program but it got delayed until January. I've since decided to cancel the upgrade and wait for the next year, retaining my iPhone 11 Pro. Next September I'll probably think about upgrading and hand down my current phone or sell it.

Instead of the iPhone upgrade I've gone for an iPad Air 4 and an M1 Mac mini...
