I predict a record number of 4K TVs will soon be sold.
Out of curiosity I was trying to find 4K adoption rate numbers. As of June 2018, 31% of all households in the U.S. had a 4K TV. In 2018, 60% of the TV's sold in the U.S. were 4K. I'm guessing it's probably pushing, if not over, 40% now.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw The Matrix 4 on the list. I wasn't expecting that till 2022. The one that really put a smile on my face was Mortal Kombat! I'm looking forward to it.

The real concern here is piracy. When these high quality prints are streamed, they will be pirated. I wonder how much of a dent that will make in revenue.

Anyway, HBO Max seems to be getting some real great releases, not to mention Zack Snyder's Justice League as well.

I really would love to watch these movies on the big screen, but given the current situation, I'll settle for my 65" 4K TV. That is the reason why, with a real heavy heart, I'm skipping Tenet in the theatre and have pre-ordered the 4K UHD Blu-ray - which should hopefully reach me soon!

    Not available on Apple TV+?
The problem with those services is that there are too many. And often some movies are available only on one of them.
Just recently I wanted to buy a movie on Apple TV+, they had it there but I had to subscribe to some SkyTicket - other provider.
I was ready to buy it on Apple TV+.  But they did it difficult for me. Torrent rules...
They have to figure out how  to offer movies on more platforms in multiple languages. If they make it easier to get it on torrent than on official distribution channels,
Perhaps you don't speak English well, so I won't be hard on you for your fragmented sentences. But it's hard to understand what you want. Are you complaining about the cost? Apple doesn't control the cost, because that's controlled by the content providers. Apple doesn't set the prices, either of the streaming channels or the individual movie prices on iTunes. And it looks like Skyticket is a German streaming service that has nothing to do with Apple TV+. What movie were you trying to watch on Apple TV+? If you explain your problem, there are some people who will try to help. But we can't help if you refuse to explain the problem.
I think his point is that AppleTV+ collects (aggregates) movies and TV shoes available through various channels on AppleTV. On the surface, it looks like you have access to a variety of content but find that you really have to have subscriptions to multiple services. I am frustrated that it is turning out to be the same problem we had with cable. To watch one show I like, I have to subscribe to a channel and pay for a bunch of crap I don't want. Internet streaming had the promise of being able to pay for the shows I like and only the shows I like (iTunes started well). Now one needs to have subscriptions to Netflix, Hulu, CBS All access, AppleTV+ etc, each one having one thing of value and a ton of unwanted stuff. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
Perhaps you are right. Or perhaps not. We'll never know since you are answering for him.

You brought up torrents. So you believe theft is an option?

I think he wrote it pretry clearly... wanted to buy movie - had to subscribe to some servuce judt for that... To be fair TV app is damn mess, like whenever I go to the app I wonder what they smoke in Apple that they allow to release such a shitty “user friendly” - looking for TV+ takes way to mich time, it is nearly hidden somewhere (OK, I am using only Mac / ipad app) and for many ppl it is just confusing, my GF started to using app and it took her some time to realize that everything that is shows isn’t part of the tv+ (I dont blame them, but 1 banner at the top or even separate app) would be much better way than just mixing everything together...
Yeah except what he (and now you) are saying doesn't make much sense. Was the movie offered in iTunes for purchase? If not, was it only offered as a streaming film by some other third-party app? Ok...what's the problem? Either there are content deals that allow Apple to sell it via iTunes, or there aren't. If it's only available to stream by a third-party that isn't Apple's fault. Talk to the content owner.

None of which has anything to do with Apple TV+, which is a brand of unique content offered by Apple, akin to Disney+, etc.

No, Apple TV+ doesn't aggregate content from other apps. The "TV" app does that, but "Apple TV+" is the name of Apple's own content offering -- like Disney+ is for Disney.

As for the promise of streaming...Despite what people may have wanted (Ala carte channels for the same price as bundled cable!) no one close to the business believed that would happen. Cable pricing only works because of forced bundling. The all-you-can-eat buffet model. That being said, many of us realized years ago we don't care about a buffet of crap, and cut the cord. I did so many many years ago, and the only way I got the shows I wanted was by renting or buying them from iTunes. And that was fine, because it was still cheaper than paying for a cable buffet of crap I don't watch. This remains true today -- I subscribe to Netflix & HBO, and that's cheaper than any cable offering. My expectations are tapered -- I don't expect to watch any show anywhere for that price. But between it, and occasionally buying a show, my needs are met, for less dough.

I'm not losing sleep over it. The PITA factor of torrenting is such that it's really a niche hobby for nerds, and not really a mainstream endeavor. There aren't even any torrent clients on iPad. Game of Thrones was the most pirated show of its day, but also incredibly popular with paying normals.

If the content owners did not provide online streaming options, it's certainly an option. If you recall, the popularity of P2P file sharing is what forced the hand of the music industry to sell individual tracks via iTunes for 99-cents. Prior to piracy they insisted on selling only a $15 CD in order to get the 1-2 hits on the album. The market simply wasn't having it, and even "normals" took to file sharing, famously. So the industry got with it and offered the people what they wanted -- online distribution and songs for purchase.

If the video content owners decided to not offer their goods online I expect the same thing would happen. You can make all your morality arguments you want, but people will simply do what people will do. Thus it's always best for a corporation to align itself with what their customers want. Ignore this at your own peril.

Seems more than a bit harsh, particularly since English may be the OP's second language. They gave no indication whatsoever of refusing to explain their problem. Geesh, OK to support Apple,  but no need to be rude and dismissive to fellow Apple customers in doing so.

They didn't refuse to explain the problem, it was very clear.  They wanted to buy a movie on Apple TV, but the only way to watch the movie was by subscribing to a third party service.  Therefore the problem is exclusivity deals and Apple not getting these movies into Apple TV+ or the iTunes Store.

Perhaps you don't understand English well?  Patronising ass.

Does HBO Max stream in 4K anywhere? I know in Canada, where I live, it does not.
In order to get HBO Max in Canada for $10/month, you first have to have a subscription to Crave TV which costs $10/month, and as far as I can tell, in order to get Crave TV, you have to have a cable TV supplier, which typically ranges from $70 to $130 per month depending on which package you get (and that's just the programming charge, the "Fibe" service costs $25/month on top of that.) I've been saving my money instead of wasting $175/month on TV. Over 30 years, that adds up to $63,000 I've saved.

And by the way, here's a secret. If the TV service includes a "box", then that box is "compressing" the signal between the service provider and your house. So a 4K movie isn't really a 4K movie at all because of the compression algorithms. In my opinion this is a major fraud being perpetrated on the consumer.
Many HBO properties are on CraveTV but not all. You can signup for CrabeTV just like you would for Netflix. There is an Apple TV app or you can watch in your browser etc.
Perhaps Canadians will be able to dump their terrible options in favor of high-speed satellite options from SpaceX.
