Apple Music now streaming new Kanye West 'Donda' event

Kanye West's "Countdown to Donda" event is being streamed on Apple Music, but users are complaining of no sound.

Kanye West may have broken Apple Music live event streaming records with his "Donda" album preview. But he barely appeared in it and the album being launched, wasn't launched. Now ahead of that album's revised release date, Apple Music has launched a new "Countdown to Donda" live stream, but it could be going better.

AppleInsider variously gets nothing at all, a video without sound, or a server certificate notification. The video shows backstage preparations, and very little of those, so it's possible that sound is deliberately off until later in the stream.

There's no effing stream and this is the same nonsense that happened with the last event. What's the point of paying for Apple Music if we don't have access to some things huh???

I wish he'd put it on Tidal.

Apple Music is running the stream under the heading "Countdown to Donda." Its website shows the message "Kanye West Presents a Donda Event Apple Music" across five clickable poster icons.

All five lead to the same feed, which currently shows people sitting in a room and occasionally appears to reset itself.

"Donda" is now due to be released on August 6.

Why Apple has anything to do with this overrated jerk is beyond me. He needs you more than you need him, Apple.

Is anyone listening to his music an enabler nowadays?

Someone at Apple has their head in their hands.

Love Kanye's music, but people need to stop putting up with this crap and press him to get some help.

It's hilarious how many people are triggered by Kanye.

In case anyone is wondering about bipolar disorder, it is *extremely* difficult to convince someone with severe bipolar disorder to take needed medications; it is beyond the realm of what can be intuitively understood, a psychotic level of poor insight in many cases. And our system does not allow forced medications unless someone is an immediate threat to themselves or others (or, sometimes, if a conservatorship has been established); outside of these parameters, a bipolar person is free to completely destroy their lives, it's pretty sad. It's kind of interesting right now; we have Britney, who is under conservatorship that doesn't seem to be necessary, and Kanye, who may benefit from a conservatorship but doesn't have one.

Not seeing how people are triggered by Kanye... Is not caring for his music and his antics, and wanting him to get help triggered? Is feeling sorry for how he was used by republican campaign workers in certain states (to get him on the ballot to peel of some voters), is that being triggered? It's more like feeling bad for him, and no respect for people who used him.

Spending your time making two posts about a musician you 'don't care' about, and bringing politics into it, means you're triggered lol

I could wait another month or 10 years to listen to that...make it 20 years.

This is a feature, not a bug.
