Apple has released the fifth beta of iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 to members of its public software testing program.

Apple releases new public betas

The fifth public betas should be essentially the same as the fifth developer betas, which Apple seeded on Tuesday. The builds can be acquired from the Apple Beta Software Program web portal.

The new betas include minor design changes and new splash screens across the operating system. Testflight users will see app information within the App Store and the Weather app icon has been modified.

The controversial CSAM detection software will be included sometime after the new software launches in the fall. Apple hasn't stated when it will include the software during the beta cycle.

AppleInsider, and Apple itself, strongly recommend users don't install the betas on to "mission-critical" or primary devices, as there is the remote possibility of data loss or other issues. Instead, testers should install betas onto secondary or non-essential devices and ensure sufficient backups of important data before updating.

Lololol these kinds of responses are hilarious. You either have CP on your devices or have absolutely no understanding of how any of this works.

If it could just stop deleting my short term app data, that’d be sweet

I think we are going to have to get ready to read these types of comments on all iOS 15 threads. I'm surprised @darkvader hasn't chimed in yet.
