I paid with Apple Card and Apple Pay with no issues. for whatever that’s worth. I only had to pay the $90 in taxes though, so maybe that had something to do with it.

Didn't end up ordering one this year, decided I could live with the 12 Pro a year longer. (Do have to sort out my plan, though, but that's a different matter.) Was tempted by the 13 mini, partly for the smaller size, and the difference between it and the Pro wasn't quite enough to spend the extra money.

I did notice this morning, though, that while shipping had slipped by 3 weeks, I could have ordered and picked up from my local Apple Store on Saturday if I'd ordered it this morning (Saturday here).

Did you use the Apple Card for your Apple pay transaction? When people were checking out and got to the double tap for Apple pay, using the Apple Card, the transactions came back with an error or wouldn't go through. You can use any major credit card or debit card with Apple pay or even your Apple cash balance. This seems to be a specific problem with the Apple Card being used this morning.

As I said, I used Apple Pay. It’s on my AmEx. I never got the Apple Card. I didn’t see the point, as there’s no advantage I could find. We know that there were early glitches using the Apple Card on these sales Friday. I mentioned Apple Pay, because most people, I would imagine are using that for this, and most likely won’t have the Apple Card as well. I thought it would have been of interest for people to know that it wasn’t a problem with Apple Pay. I didn’t think to state it wasn’t with the Apple Card because I’ve said numerous times since it came out that I hadn’t gotten it. I sometimes forget that newer people here don’t know everything that some of us have said over time.

Your store actually had them? They’re not supposed to sell them until the 24th, as far as I know. The same day mine will be arriving. Did you check?

Apple Card via Apple Pay has been a fail for me at regular NFC tap to pay POS terminals. Almost a dozen vendors, the card won't take... If I select a different bank's card in my Wallet, they work fine. Just the Apple Card.

I've texted w/ support and they don't know anything, claiming the merchant must not take Apple Card, which I know isn't true since the local merchants don't have reason to do that or even know how to do that.
Are you using the Apple Wallet version of Apple Pay over NFC, or are you using the physical credit card? I thought it was accepted anywhere that accepts MasterCard.

Sorry, pick up the following Saturday (25th September).

To clarify: Orders started 10pm AEST Friday, I checked sometime Saturday morning, and they were saying delivery 21st October, or pickup 25th September.

It used to be that our Verizon phone contract ended in December, so we really couldn’t get new phones when they first came out. But since we didn’t get the new phone last year on our two year schedule, that no longer applies. So I did what I do when buying iPads: I ordered exactly at 8:00 am EST. My daughter too. A week wait is pretty good, and sometimes I read that some early buyers get them a day early.

‘’but some versions have seen delivery times slip badly after just an hour after sales began. I feel for everyone who is frustrated by that.
