Apple releases latest iOS, iPadOS & macOS Monterey betas to public testers [u]
Apple has released the second version beta of iOS 15.1 and iPadOS 15.1 and the eighth beta of macOS Monterey to members of its public beta software testing program.

The public beta release comes about a day after Apple issued the second developer beta versions of iOS 15.1, iPadOS 15.1, tvOS 15.1, and watchOS 8.1 on Tuesday. Apple also released the eighth developer beta of its macOS Monterey software update on Tuesday.
Members of Apple's public beta testing program can get the new beta versions through the initiative's web portal, or as an over-the-air update on devices with the proper configuration profile.
It appears that iOS 15.1 will introduce features that were missing from the first release of iOS 15, as well as support for verifiable Covid-19 vaccination cards in Wallet. Apple has yet to release macOS Monterey to the public, though it's a major release that includes new features like a redesigned Safari, a Focus mode, and a Universal Control mode.
Both AppleInsider and Apple itself strongly recommend users don't install the betas on to "mission-critical" or primary devices, as there is the remote possibility of data loss or other issues. Instead, testers should install betas onto secondary or non-essential devices, and to make sure there are sufficient backups of important data before updating.
Update: Apple also pushed out a public beta version of tvOS 15.1 and a developer beta for HomePod 15.1 on Wednesday.

Very few Shortcuts can be run from the Calendar, and no idea how to make Shortcuts able to be opened VIA the Calendar. IE I create a Shortcut, it doesn't show up in the pick list to be opened in Calendar. Part of that problem is I can't find the Shortcut files to try moving them.
Numbers has no blocks. The shortcut I have with Numbers on the iPhone doesn't work on the Mac as the Mac Shortcuts thinks it has to use the iOS version of Numbers. Will they fix that or make the iOS version the Mac version?
I know they talked about Shortcuts on the Mac as being a multiyear effort, however what kind of state will the Mac Shortcuts app be left in during this effort?
