Sorry its not a Murdoch owned paper. Apologies for straying off topic..those prisoners weren't just tortured, they were beaten to death.
Any others? Two prisoners who may or may not have died at the hands of interrogators (since it is apparently unconfirmed who actually did this) doesn't constitute a pogrom. Why haven't the other news media picked up on this? Oh, that's right -- it's a conspiracy. What about Amnesty International and all the other human rights organizations that are camped out with out prisoners? What do they say? They must be part of the conspiracy, right?
The sweeping generalizations and habitual overemphasis do you no good after a while.
Two people is too many, but that story is too vague and limited to generalize. I know that matters little here.
groverat, I don't recall you asking but whatever...
A prisoner of conscience is someone who speaks out for human rights for example...although it also means someone who is inappropriately imprisoned.
Freeing one, in process, would be to work with and/or assault the government with international support for the relase of the prisoner. This is what Amnesty INtl. does.
They free prisoners of conscience so that they continue their important work.
