New design Arlo Go 2 launches with LTE, improved video quality
Arlo has updated its go-anywhere security camera with a refreshed design and higher resolution video, though Apple's HomeKit is missing at launch.
Arlo Go 2
The new Arlo Go 2 looks more in-line with the rest of the Arlo lineup with an elongated body rather than the squat body of its predecessor. It connects wirelessly over Wi-Fi or 4G LTE and has a swappable, rechargeable battery.
It's perfect for temporary habitats like a campground, large yards where Wi-Fi or Arlo's range won't reach, or even trails.
There is an upgraded sensor that can now record at up to 1080P and has a 130-degree field of view. Footage can be recorded to an internal microSD card or, with an Arlo Secure subscription, to the cloud for remote viewing.
Arlo Go 2
A built-in spotlight aids with night vision and a siren can ward off intruders. The camera can be located at any time with its own GPS signal.
Even though the Arlo Go 2 doesn't support Apple HomeKit, it does support Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and IFTTT.
The Arlo GO 2 is available now through Verizon for $249.99 with additional carrier support coming in 2022.

There are tens of thousands of more or less interesting products in the marketplace, but this here is called APPLE insider, not “random gadgets insider”, so unless this thing has direct bearing on the Apple ecosystem, an article like this is a waste of my time!!!
Stop posting crap like this, regardless of how many kickbacks you may get.
That's a pretty emotional post. You okay? 😲
While I, too, wished that this camera supported HomeKit, it does work with IFTTT, which is a cross-ecosystem technology, not tied to a single vendor.
