Is there a terminal command that will kill this annoyance with Mojave OS? Thanks for any help.

    1. Restart your Mac and turn off System Integrity Protection
    2. Open Terminal and enter sudo rm /Applications/Photos.app
    3. Enter your admin password.
    4. Restart your Mac and Turn SIP back on.

But -- Photos is incredibly integrated into lots of macOS features. macOS will always look for the app, and there's no way to associate it with another Photos-like app.

Thanks. I contacted Apple and they played dumb (as usual).
