Man, NYC fans are so bad...booing Glavine off the mound. Your guys better not boo him too much, he's supposed to be your ace this year. :P

Maybe he'll actually hit this year.

Once the game was out of line I really hoped Sosa would hit #500, but of course that didn't happen.

burnitz was for 1-3..... good? i call that um..... expected

heh, I saw Tommy's face as he left the mound to the boobirds.....all I could think about was the sweet deal that Atlanta had promised him if he'd stay...a LIFETIME role with the Braves. That meant a coaching contract after he was finished, the whole deal. Anyway, it's his career and he did what he felt was best.

I just hope he's tough enough to take the heat....I think that he may have gotten too comfortable down here where we rarely boo our own players. We're *nice*.

    We're Southerners.

    Good look Tommy!

Have you noticed that the Giants NEVER lose when Reuter gets a no-decision? And, heh, it's good when you can win despite Bonds and Alfonso going 0-7.

It's good to see a Braves fan that's wishing Glavine good luck. From what I've seen over at the Braves Fan Forum, everyone's mad at him for leaving and no one wants him to do well.

Wasn't just Bonds and Alfonzo...Aurilia wasn't so hot yesterday either, so the 3-4-5 batters didn't really do anything. It's nice to see the lead-off guys actually getting on base though.

Dodged a bullet this time. I don't know how Fran441 would cope with 2 losses in a row to the Devil Rays to start the season, but I don't think it would be pretty.

4 homers today from the Giants...I thought this team was supposed to be based around baserunners this year...

that was a great play... you don't see many plays at the plate anymore... people are too afraid of being hurt...

Nixon was out by 5 feet, the catcher could have saved himself some pain if he just extended his arms to tag him... oh well, it was fun to watch

And in the only attempted steal, Grissom got thrown out. But Ray Durham is quickly making me forget that other guy.
