Apple has released a new teaser for its Apple TV+ adaptation of "The Tragedy of Macbeth," with the video hinting at the dark tone of the film before its theatrical release.

Published to YouTube on Tuesday, the 35-second teaser titled "O, full of scorpions is my mind" features the famous phrase being spoken, but as the only words said in the video. Accompanying it is a series of clips from the film, including a pool of blood, crows, and people watching from rafters.

The soundtrack, aside from the line, consists of knocks and other sound effects, taken from each of the clips. The entire unsettling nature of the piece plays into the meaning of the phrase, in that Macbeth is unable to settle his mind due to the witches' prophecy.

The film premiered on December 17, and will be made available in theaters from December 25, before airing on Apple TV+ on January 14.

Directed by Joel Coen, "The Tragedy of Macbeth" stars Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand, along with Bertie Carvel, Alex Hassell, Corey Hawkins, Kathryn Hunter, Harry Melling, and Brendan Gleeson.

A subscription to Apple TV+ costs $4.99 per month, or as part of the Apple One subscription service.
