Don’t like the job, then quit. Other jobs are available else where especially retail.

It is Anti-Apple together group. In USA, people mostly younger fills entitled to have more without working hard over years. USA needs big time longer recession so people gets back to basics and understand that workers union, protest, walk out so don't have to work is not normal in rest of the world. People in countries don't work hard but support socialism and free benefits are bankrupts and living with lower quality of life.

Don't like the conditions and your employer isn't breaking the law? Have conviction and quit. Walking off the job is a very different thing than a protest. By all means protest. Walk off the job? See you at the unemployment office.
Disagree pretty much entirely.  Be the change you want to see in the world, don't just turn your back on it.
You have to realise what company they are fighting. Most people here are "apple can do no wrong" types.  I am supporting the workers 100 percent. Just as I support the Amazon workers taking a stand.  Terrible working conditions are terrible working conditions no matter what company it is.  Most people here think apple's farts smell like roses and baby powder. They are a megacorporation who do not care about anything other than the almighty dollar. End of story.
Yeah, I’ve jumped from forum to forum and it’s always the same. Apple Cult is a real thing.
    So are trolls.

I am trying to understand what you are saying here.  Are you saying that countries that support socialist practices like free healthcare, education and things like that are going bankrupt, and the citizens are living a lower quality of life?  If so, you are 100 percent incorrect in that assumption.

Cher Scarlett nearly died yesterday. What you don't understand is that women get harassed 100X more than men when they stand up for anything. That harassment in the digital age might not ever cease and can go viral. Think mob mentality. This can include the kind of intimidation tactics that specifically harm women in our misogynist society. The ironic part is that women and other minorities are the ones fighting for equality and that benefits us all. Remember the bible story of David vs Goliath? This is that and your attitude and behavior are both unwarranted and ill informed coming from a very male perspective. Instead, try having a little empathy for those who have the balls to accomplish what men can't and won't. That's conviction.

OH and I should add that I worked for Apple and saw firsthand the way people (including myself) were mistreated. As a cisgender hetero white male, I didn't have any protection from the managers in the white male good ol' boys club either. Difference is that my entire retail store didn't turn against me spurred on by corporate watchdogs who only care about the bottom line to ruin my reputation. Thank god for small favors in my case.

Odds are good Cher Scarlett is behind much of this.

    1. If Cher Scarlett had ‘nearly’ died yesterday, she would have posted it on Twitter today at the latest. Instead, she's cheering about her new job in the same place. (God protect the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance)
    2. Women are not a minority and our society is not misogynistic per se. This is a derision of women who live in truly misogynistic societies, for example in Africa and the Middle East, including the Gulf States.
    3. Men have multiple fought for justice throughout history and paid a high blood price for it.
Denying this is the typical behavior of white, privileged and mostly cis-straight men, who use it to offer themselves to women as pseudo-feminist super-allies.
    Otherwise, nice anecdote.
She posted about it on Medium, but it was on Monday night, not yesterday.

Why would she be behind a retail walkout, though? She worked in corporate.

Corporations are not social experiments creating 'change'.

They're about bloody well producing and selling a product that people want at a price they want to pay and quality they're willing to accept, making a profit (that covers their cost of capital) doing so. And, doing so legally, and morally (the definition of the latter being, admittedly, squishy).

Find something else to do, then? Doing more of the same thing but expecting a different result is, as someone famous once said, the definition of...

I've been in shitty work environments before, so I feel for these employees. There is always going to be some amount of tension between workers and managers/execs. If there are specific incidents of harassment, sexism, etc., then Apple absolutely must do better. Apple needs to take a close look at its workplace culture and environment and retrain or fire any managers who aren't creating a safe, comfortable work environment for their employees.
