Rebirth and iPhone 5S

Hi all, thank you very much for your help in advanced.

I have an iPhone 5S, the best iPhone that I've ever owned. I am trying to make it work for one of my kids. I've changed the battery to make it work better and everything seems working fine in terms of hardware but I can't make the iPhone to be restored or upgraded through Music app or Mac desktop. My iMac pro recognises the iPhone and the process to restore it or/and upgrade stars normally but I have a message error all the time so it's not finishing the restoring process. I tried several times, with different Macs, I own another iMac and a Macbook pro as well and the result is the same, the restoring or upgrading process is failing. I am not 100% sure if this iPhone was hacked on its time and maybe that's why the restoring process is failing. I don't know.

Any ideas? Can I do something different to make this iPhone 5S works. As I said, I've already tried with the restoring and/or upgrading processes through Music application or Mac desktop and it's not working that way.

Thank you for your help!!! Have an amazing week.

Out of curiosity, if you're setting it up for one of your kids, why are you trying to restore it from a backup that has all your data and whatnot on it?

Hi Mike, thank you for your answer.

Well, I am saying that I am trying to restore it because when I am connecting the iPhone to my iMac, it's in restoration mode, I can't go out of it, it's showing this restoration screen and I can't make it change so that's why I need to make it working, whatever if it's a restoration or any other mode. First of all I need it to be back alive :) and then, I can delete things, update, etc... if that would be the case, I don't remember how was the state of this iPhone when I stopped using it years ago, to be honest.

    Thank you!

Well, I'm starting to suspect a hardware problem. Have you tried DFU?

Hi Mike, I went through that process -I think I did it already before-. The iMac recognised the iPhone, started the recovery process but I had an error message very soon, The iPhone “iPhone” could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (2015). :( I tried twice but it seems not working. So, do you think the issue is coming from the hardware? I hope not.

    Thank you!!!

Error 2015 is absolutely a hardware problem.
