Apple TV+ picks up five Bafta film nominations
The UK's equivalent of the Oscars has announced five nominations for Apple TV+ movies, including three for "CODA."
More than doubling its 2021 film nominations, Apple TV+ is now competing in five Bafta categories, ranging from writing to casting. Bafta has recognized two Apple movies, with "CODA" gaining nominations in the major categories.
Note, though, that these Bafta nominations are specifically for film. In DeBose's case that means "West Side Story." Bafta has a separate television award ceremony, and nominations for that will be announced on March 30, 2022.
The Bafta film awards will be presented in a ceremony on March 13, 2022.
