A four-part documentary called "They Call Me Magic" about Earvin "Magic" Johnson is coming to Apple TV+ on April 22.

"They Call Me Magic" examines the real-life story of Johnson, who is known for his accomplishments in basketball and his battle with HIV. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar and NBA legend has transformed into a successful entrepreneur and community activist, and this docuseries takes an intimate look at this journey.

The docuseries is filled with interviews with Johnson himself, his family, and an all-star lineup. Apple calls it a rare glimpse into the incredible real-life story of Johnson who continues to impact our culture today.

Rick Famuyiwa directs with Bryn Mooser, Rafael Marmor, Christina Arquette, John Terzian, and Jeremy Allen acting as executive producers.

The four-part documentary series premiers on Apple TV+ on April 22. Customers can subscribe to the streaming service for $4.99 per month or via any tier of the Apple One subscription bundle.

    I'm looking forward to this.
    Partly because it sounds positive and uplifting and partly because I like to hear how these great people got to where they are -- it didn't just happen.  But ian't any one formula that works for all -- every great person got there on their own, and often after rising from extreme hardship and adversity.

    Not in their own though. They got lots of help. 
    Hardworking, yes. Talented, yes. But got there with other people being involved and often helping them.
