iPhone 14 Apple event on the AppleInsider Podcast
Apple's Far Out event revealed the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch Ultra, an updated Apple Watch SE, and second-generation AirPods Pro. It's time to break down the event, discuss stagecraft, and contemplate picking up some extreme sports.
The iPhone 14 Pro replaced the notch with what's called a Dynamic Island. The device's UI takes over the area in a whimsical way to show notifications, Live Activities, and more.
The Apple Watch Ultra is a little too extreme for host Wesley, especially since it only comes in a single color. It was built for hikers, divers, and people enduring the harshest terrain.
We look forward to a new set of AirPods Pro and its improved noise cancellation. While lossless wasn't mentioned at the event, we speculate that Bluetooth 5.3 may enable higher-quality streaming in the future.
