Apple TV+ hit 'Ted Lasso' wins Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series
Apple TV+ took home eight Emmys on Monday night, including four earned by the popular sports comedy "Ted Lasso."
The critically acclaimed series took home the win for Outstanding Comedy Series as well as three additional awards.
Jason Sudeikis took home the win for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy, while Brett Goldstein took home Outstanding Supporting Actor. In addition, MJ Delany won Outstanding Directing for a Comedy for the "Ted Lasso" episode "No Weddings and a Funeral."
"Severance" took home two Emmys, including Outstanding Main Title Design and Outstanding Music Composition for a Series.
"Schmigadoon!" also won an Emmy for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for the song "Corn Puddin" by Cinco Paul.
Lastly, "Carpool Karaoke: The Series" snagged an Emmy for Outstanding Short Form Comedy, Drama, or Variety Series.
Both "Schmigadoon!" and "Severance" recently scored wins at the Creative Arts Emmys.
