Evvvvverybody hates ads. But deep down inside your animal brain you realize that without ads you’d have to pay for evvvverything, even broadcast OTA TV.
Except, even when you pay, you still get ads. See: cable TV.

The funnier part is - Apple's customer are already paying (a premium), exactly to not have Ads and protect their privacy. And it becomes a problem when Apple decides to show Ads, after asking for premium for the hardware that they sell to their customers.
I keep hearing about this "premium", yet when I do price comparisons with PCs, phones, and tablets that have equivalent components, the price difference is minor, if anything at all. The only real price gouging I see is with adding extra RAM or storage to base models.

If you are living in the US, then the prices of Apple's products and similar products from competitors do not have much difference in the price. But the story is entirely different in the rest of the world. In rest of the world, Apple's products carry a significantly higher pricetag compared to similar products from competition. Only a tiny population in the world (US) enjoy the competitive pricing of Apple. More than 90% of the population in the world has to pay a "premium" to get Apple products. So my point about Apple charging a premium stands.
