Oddly, most of America's wars since 1941 have been fought under Democratic Admins. I'm too sleepy to search and verify this right now, it was just something I heard the other day during a speech.
Since 1917 actually.
WWI - Woodrow Wilson
WWII - FDR
Korea - Truman
Vietnam - Kennedy, Johnson
All Democrats
Vietnam cont. - Nixon
Grenada (Does this really count?) - Reagan
Panama - Bush 41
Gulf War - Bush 41
Haiti (Hey, if Grenada counts...) - Clinton (another Democrat)
Let's see. How many of them had something to do with a European power? All but Haiti, Grenada and Panama! Now add to that list the Spanish Civil War, Algeria, the Indonesian War of Independence, the troubles in Northern Ireland, the Falkland Islands... Well, you get the picture. We're amateurs compared to you guys.

That's a lot of wars for a peace-loving nation.
