Safely clean your AirPods with Belkin's new cleaning kit
Belkin has released an AirPods Cleaning Kit that claims to remove earwax and restore acoustic performance for certain AirPods.

Our ears constantly produce wax and naturally occurring oils as a cleaning mechanism. Some will inevitably build up on earbuds no matter how often we clean our ears.
Designed for the first, second, and third generations of AirPods, the cleaning kit includes a brush, wax softener, cleaning gel, and microfiber cloth. Unfortunately, Belkin does not mention compatibility with AirPods Pro.
It restores acoustic performance by clearing debris from the mesh components on the AirPods through which they deliver sound.
Belkin has a YouTube video showing the cleaning process. It starts with applying two drops of wax softener and letting it sit for one minute.
After pouring out the softener, gently use the brush to scrub the mesh for thirty seconds. Then, the sticky cleaning gel will remove any leftover wax and debris.
Belkin isn't the only company that produces a cleaning kit for AirPods. Hagibis makes an even more affordable tool, and AppleInsider rated it as the best tool to clean AirPods and AirPods Pro.
