This past week was CES, hosted out of Las Vegas. The annual consumer-facing show was ripe with new tech, including plenty of smart home gadgets. While more announcements are still being made, we cover all of the announcements thus far.

We didn't have any time for news outside of CES. Your hosts will be back answering questions and covering more news and reviews in next week's episode.

I set up a HomeKit hub with a HomePod Mini. It works fine, but since we already have OEM apps for our security and thermostat devices, the only useful thing I've seen are light switches, smart AC plugs, and light bulbs. There is a garage door accessory I'd buy, but we don't get a wifi signal in our detached garage.

I'm sure more stuff is on the way, but for our household, it's sort of a waste of time and money.
