Huge Congratulations! You won't believe what you can do with a few minutes of sleep. Your next full night's sleep will happen in about six-seven weeks. Hang in there! : )
I have a four month old boy and all I can say is enjoy. They really really do grow fast. Mine smiles and laughs and is working on his rolling skills. It really is a blast to watch them progress.
Congratulations. Give your wife / long-term partner a kiss for me and a little 'un for the little 'un. And one for you too. I expect this'll be the last time you're round these parts for a while. You've just a life thrust on you, whether you like it or not!
Seriously though, best wishes for the three of you. That is great news during times when great news is in short supply around here. Hell even the NHL playoffs have been full of bad news so far. Dallas won a game (man was that ugly last night, kind of funny though), St. Louis and Minnesota beat Vancouver and Colorado in games 1... I tell ya it never ends, so thanks for the uplifting stuff!
Yesterday afternoon. Well, not me, my wife. I just kind of stood by and watched in horror. No actually things went very well and relatively easy. Drugs are good.
Mother of four, I'll suspend the stream of advice ready to flow. However, I have to laugh at the "sleeping through they night by Monday." Good luck, but she'll need a few more pounds before she does that. I only had one that would sleep through the night before a year, and he was a whopping 9 lbs 3 oz (I did a lot of whooping during the birth ).
Definitely ENJOY. They grow so fast. And once they start talking, there is no going back.

Are you just going to sit there and smoke that stog or are you going to pass some around. I guess I will have to get the cubans.
Oh by the way, congrats BRussell.
Its amazing to have a chid . . . Get ready for emotions you didn't know you could have,
oh yeah, and it gets more amazing everyday, not just the first few days.
Is it a boy or a girl?
and its also harder than you can imagine to.
Be prepared . . .
I try to cope by becoming BUDDHA . . . . . Buddhahood helps.
