Apple Original 'Severance' nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble SAG Award

Apple's lauded psychological thriller "Severance" was awarded seven nominations in total in the following categories:

Screen Actors Guild nominations
  • Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series

  • Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series -- Adam Scott
Directors Guild of America nominations
  • Dramatic Series -- Ben Stiller

  • Dramatic Series -- Aoife McArdle
Writers Guild of America nominations
  • Best Drama Series

  • Best New Series

  • Best Episodic Drama
Apple TV+ crime drama "Black Bird," also picked up two SAG nominations, including:
  • Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series -- Taron Egerton

  • Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series -- Paul Walter Hauser
The streaming service also picked up 12 WGA nominations for its programs "Amber Brown," "Bad Sisters," "Carpool Karaoke: The Series," "Circuit Breakers," "Life By Ella," and "The Problem with John Stewart."

Since its inception, Apple TV+ has racked up 310 awards and more than 1,300 nominations, including Oscar Best Picture winner "CODA," two-time Outstanding Comedy Emmy award winner "Ted Lasso."

    The payment when people lose their job is severance pay/package, people shorten the term:

    The word severance itself means separation. In employment, it's the separation of the employee from the employment. In the TV show, it's the separation of work life and personal life. It's useful that the word is associated with employment as it makes people think of the office setting.
