iPad 12.9 22 Thumb Print Sized Light Bleed immediately out of box, that can't be normal right?
After a rather unfortunate accident involving my 2018 iPad pro 11", I decided to eat the expense and upgrade to a 256gb 12.9" 2022 m2. Things started off really good until I changed to "dark mode". That is the point I realized, any white text in the upper corners of the screen, looked like someone was holding a flashlight behind it. My return to Costco is already in progress. I'm just curious if I'm alone in thinking it shouldn't look like that.

Lowering the display brightness will probably help but it's the nature of mini LED.

The same images would have to be displayed on both and brightness levels set to the same. The different screen size and amount of LEDs will make a visual difference between them but it's also visible on Apple's $5k Pro Display XDR.
The only real solution is improved technology like micro LED or OLED.
