    Also, I had one go bad after a few months. 
    Not sure how you measure the leak? When you're using WiFi plugins, you're using electricity. Same with Thread. But Thread is built with energy efficiency in mind. There are low power WiFi but the problem is I cannot find specs on what kind of WiFi they use.
