Apple shared a new iPhone 14 ad about long battery life and the hunt for lost teeth, starring former NHL players P.K. Subban and Joe Thornton.

The video, released on the Apple Canada YouTube channel, shows the two searching for something in a winter storm using their iPhone 14 flashlights. After picking up a hockey stick, the pair find a missing tooth. Subban puts it back into his mouth but it doesn't fit, leading the pair to keep searching.

"Our longest battery life ever on iPhone 14 Plus -- for when the hunt is on, and you need it the most," says Apple in the video description. "Relax, it's iPhone."

The video description explicitly mentions the iPhone 14 Plus, and it might be Apple's way of trying to bring more attention to the model as it hasn't been as popular as the other models in the lineup.

Based on video playback time, Apple claims a battery life of up to 26 hours for the iPhone 14 Plus, although that will shorten if users activate the flashlight for prolonged periods.

This would be a lot easier if he had just attached an AirTag to each tooth beforehand.

Not a good idea if you'd have to give it root-level access
