Belkin's new hub offers 100W Power Delivery & data transfer with four USB-C ports

Belkin's newest product is the Connect USB-C Hub with recycled materials with four high-speed USB-C ports that provide charging and prevent data loss.

In January, Belkin pledged to reduce its environmental impact with new products, and it delivers that with the Connect USB-C Hub. The accessory manufacturer works on scope three emissions and aims to be carbon neutral for scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2025.

The new hub is made with 72% post-consumer recycled plastics (PCR), which refers to manufactured goods that are used and recycled. Belkin aims to produce other consumer products using PCR plastics and plastic-free packaging.

It has four USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports that offer up to 10Gbps of data transfer speeds. Users can connect any audio interface to the device, which includes USB-C headphones and speakers.




They support USB Power Delivery to provide pass-through charging of up to 100W. A Fast Role Swap (FRS) feature eliminates data loss and disruption of device connections when adding or removing a USB power source from the hub.

    This may be hard to believe, but people have different needs. I, for example, have no need for nearly all of the ports on that device you bought. This device is perfect for a lot of different use cases. It's actually not easy to find a USB hub with this much PD passthrough, too.

    Correction — It only delivers 85W to the host, 15W goes to the device itself. 

    Also, how bizarre — there's absolutely zero mention of display support, and can't even answer questions regarding displays or ethernet support via adapters on their product page! What in the hell?

    Well, that is an answer, even if it's not the one you wanted.  They haven't tested it, so they're not willing to say one way or the other.

    Why is it more expensive on Amazon than directly from Belkin?! Because many of their so-called "Prime free shipping" products actually have the shipping price built-in. Another more outrageous and illegal scam from Amazon is their policy (which is not in their terms of service) for returns over $300. is refunds take 30 days to process rather than their 3-5 day refund policy on less expensive returns. I'd imagine Amazon makes millions, if not billions as a result of this deceit.

    Your option fails to do what this Belkin does, but sure, it's cheaper and that's what counts. Unless you need something that does what the Belkin does.

    It's just a tiny bit pricey for what I want to pay, but I'm considering it. I'd recently searched Amazon for such a device and only finding similar devices rated for up to 5Gbps. Fine for older slower Macs but would put a noticeable crimp in the speed of my external SSDs.
