Yes please. Seems Alexa works just fine so I’m sure they can make this work.
“Alexa” and “Hey, Siri” are both three syllables. Part of the difficulty of making Siri respond to just “Siri” is getting it to hear and respond to only two syllables. Shorter phrases increase the chance of a false positive and the assistant activating when I didn’t need to. Longer phrasing would be better for the assistant but worse for using it.

I wish these Apple programmers would do something useful instead of trivial. I want Siri to be useful in the car and to not make me angry trying to get Siri to take and give directions.

    Indeed!
My latest Apple Watch Siri frustration is: "Hey Siri, open the door" (Yes, I only have one Siri-capable door),
Siri: "Can I just check, do you want me to open the door at home?"
    Me: "Yes, dimwit!"
    Siri: "Opening garage door"

    Ye gads, NO

I already get false triggers for "Hey Siri" in normal conversations where I'll be interrupted with "This is what I found on the internet". Shortening/simplifying the trigger will only make it worse.

Make it something more distinct and less likely to trigger Siri. I don't know, "Rumpelstiltskin" maybe? "Deoxyribonucleic acid"?  ;^)

As it is, Siri already behaves like a child who wanders into an adult conversation.

This.  And it's been happening more lately for some reason.  And when I think back to what might have triggered it, I can usually recognize something that sounds vaguely like "Hey Siri", but which is definitely not "Hey Siri."  I'm thinking of turning the voice activation off.
