Apple has rolled out the macOS Ventura 13.5 update to the public in one of the last updates expected before the release of macOS Sonoma.

The build boasts the number 22G74, replacing the previous build 22F770820d. The release candidate, which immediately predates the public release, arrived on July 18.

There are few details about what is inside of this update. However, betas are now less about features and stability and performance, as Apple is beta-testing macOS Sonoma.

Apple also released older versions of macOS for users that cannot update to macOS Ventura. Both macOS Monterey 12.6.8 and macOS Big Sur 11.7.9 are now available.

How to update to the latest release of macOS

Devices update automatically within a day or two, depending on the user's settings. Those who want to install the update sooner can do so manually.

To update macOS manually, open System Settings or System Preferences from the Apple menu, then click General, followed by Software Update. If an update is available, follow the prompts.

I’m sorry but this is fake news. I read that Apple had removed MAC from the name of its OS for MacBook, making it just ‘Book OS’. Edited because iOS Autoincorrect is just stupid.

I'm sorry but what you read about Apple removing MAC (sic) from the name of their OS is fake news.

Apple prominently features the name "macOS" on their website:

    https://www.apple.com/macos/ventura

Moreover, about 15% of Mac unit sales are not notebook models: iMac, Mac mini, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro. These run the same operating system as the notebook models of course.

AI is creating more clickbait garbage articles on the Internet with each passing hour. It's up to the individual to assess the validity of what they are reading and decide for themselves whether it's a crock of dung or something actually plausible.

    You got played.

But thanks for the Monday morning laughs! Much appreciated!!!

An update that caused no problems with any of the web sites I use (unlike the last two, or internet exploder = MSFT browsers in the past).
