Small operating system point updates tend to include critical security and bug fixes that can't wait for a full release. Since there isn't any sign of iOS 17.1 releasing anytime soon, Apple is updating at smaller increments.

On Tuesday, Apple released iOS 17.0.2, iPadOS 17.0.2, and watchOS 10.0.2 to the public. iOS 17.0.2 previously released to iPhone 15 models, but is now available to all iPhone models running the OS.

The iOS and iPadOS releases have build number 21A351, which is up from build 21A340 released on September 21.

The updates don't have any listed CVE entries, but do address a bug related to initial device setup. The update text states that it fixes an issue that may prevent transferring data directly from another iPhone/iPad during setup.

watchOS 10.0.2 has build number 21R371, up from 21R360. It only states that it addresses bug fixes and security updates for Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2, but likely also address data transfer issues.

Anyone running iOS 17, iPadOS 17, or watchOS 10 on the affected devices are encouraged to update as soon as is reasonable. This update should be installed before attempting a device transfer.

Has anyone had an issue with repeated notification sounds after updated IPad Pro to iPad OS 17.0.2. If so, I stopped the issue by turning off Show Previews in Notifications. Hope it works for anyone with the same issue.

I haven't seen watchos 10.0.2 upload but then I'm on an apple watch 6 so that could be it.

Note: there is a bug in watch 10 as it will not display any of the weather info on your watch.  wonder if this latest update is the fix

I haven’t had that problem. Weather info shows in watch face complications, and weather app works just fine.

Apple’s really putting the continuous in the continuous delivery model. Soon we’ll be getting daily builds of operating systems pushed to our devices.

So far, it seems to be working and is keeping my internet service fully utilized.

Wow!  Another update?  …and all three versions in just one week!
This iOS 17 launch has surely been messy.
It’s a good thing I trust Apple, or I would’ve thought they were slipping.
    🤞

I think I just fixed the complications problem on Watch Ultra 1.

Go to "Always On" setting, then under "When wrist is down" select "Show complications data" and turn it on.

At least, worked for me. The reason might be the recent Watch OS 10 update that turned the data off by default.

Yes! I’ve been seeing the same with my new Series 9. Like sometimes I look at my watch and all the weather complications are blanked out.. and they won’t work again until I manually launch the weather app it seems.
