Apple is warming up for its "Scary Fast" special event on Monday evening, by sending some influencers a gift basket including a pair of AirPods Max.

Apple's "Scary Fast" presentation will be unusual for the company, as it will be held in the evening rather than earlier in the day. While there won't be an in-person gathering at Apple Park, Apple is still attempting to hype up the event via influencers.

Gift boxes have been sent out to online personalities including Lamarr Wilson, as spotted by 9to5Mac, inviting them to "join the online watch party." The box contains a note from Apple, as well as a selection of items, including a pair of AirPods Max.

Apple says the AirPods Max are included to "make your viewing experience a bit more spatial'" with the event itself apparently expected to be "Experienced in Spatial Audio."

The box also contains a drink and a selection of sweets and confections that match the Halloween theme of the event.

The event will be held at 5:00 PM PT / 8:00 PM ET, and will be available to watch via the Apple TV app, YouTube and Apple's website. It is expected to chiefly feature new Macs, with an updated 24-inch iMac and new M3 chips under Apple Silicon the prime candidates for launch.

AppleInsider will be covering the event as it happens. It will probably buy its own snacks.

Curious about the gift choice. Do you think this event will promote Apple Vision Pro in particular or just 'spatial computing is the future' in general?

What other spatial computing products do they have?
Unless they are adding a lenticular screen option to the iMac and MacbookPros
Would the Macbook screen even be big enough to make a 3D screen make sense?

It would be interesting if they were a new version of the AP Max , and the fact will be made public during the presentation.

So they get an outdated pair of AirPod Max headphones.  I bet their reaction is, gee thanks Apple...3 year old headphones.

That would never happen.  Apple would never give out a new product before they even announce it.

So one single “influencer” (whom I’ve never heard of) has allegedly received a “mystery package” from Apple and no one else has this?

Not iJustine or Marques Brown? No other popular, well known people have stepped up and said ‘Oi, look what I got’ — Just one person. Ironic that he’s wearing a two different caps cause that’s what I think this is; cap.
    I guess you don’t game
on XBox as he is a well known reviewer in that space

We’ll just put a pin in that one. Could be right. Could be interesting if it isn’t.

Very weird box, non alcoholic champagne cocktails, popcorn and gummy sweets?  And in a whole load of plastic packaging too.

    Very strange.

I believe most "influencers" might have received these, but this one (being little low profile "influencer") thought this is the best way to come in the lime light. He will repent later!!

Never heard of him till his video kicked up a storm. He has more than 3.6M followers on social media. He's been at it for nearly 16 years. Several articles say he's not the only influencer to receive the package. I have yet to see anyone else post, but that doesn't mean he's lying or he's the only one that received the gift box.

I'm not looking to make any more Apple purchases (besides iPhone 15 Pro Max in a few weeks), but I'll be watching at 8pm and will see if anything intrigues me. Haven't had an iMac in about a dozen 14 years, so any upgrade would be huge for me.

    Spatial Audio?

I saw mention someplace that Apple might be announcing the rumored Formula One deal, and it will be coming to Apple's headset, thus the scary fast tag. IMO, that's actually a very good guess.
