    The French might grizzle but I suspect in the case of historical storytelling Napoleon is more an entertaining subject than Wellington.

    That said, I reckon Apple should do a series based on the CS Forrester novels of Horatio Hornblower.  That’ll upset the frenchies.  With an awesome soundtrack by that Iva Davies chap who did Master and Commander. In fact also get Peter Weir to be director.

    There was also a TV series called Sharpe’s War based on the Bernard Cornwall novels that starred Sean Bean I bet the frenchies didn’t like either.

    I just saw it at the IMAX and as a film I thought it was excellent. It is all in English so it definitely loses some authenticity there. Personally I prefer films based on true events but it seems that most of them are heavily fictionalized.
