The new 145W GaN Travel Charger features advanced Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology, enabling Satechi to reduce the charger size without compromising power. The charger supports a total power output of 145W and is ideal for use at home and while traveling.

It leverages the latest Power Delivery 3.1 protocol and intelligent power distribution, automatically adjusting wattage upon detecting new devices. That ensures both efficient and safe charging.

Satechi designed the charger with the needs of the modern traveler in mind. It includes four interchangeable travel adapters (EU, AU, UK, US) and is accompanied by a convenient mesh carrying bag.

Its compact and lightweight design effectively dissipates heat, making it suitable for powering high-demand devices like the 16-inch MacBook Pro, Lenovo Legion Slim 7i, and a range of Apple and Windows devices, power banks, and peripherals.

Equipped with four USB-C PD ports -- two USB-C PD 3.1 and two USB-C PD 3.0 -- the charger offers versatile charging options. When a single port is used, PD1 and PD2 can deliver up to 140W, while PD3 and PD4 can provide up to 45W.

These features allow for the simultaneous charging of multiple devices without sacrificing charging efficiency.

The 145W USB-C 4-Port GaN Travel Charger by Satechi is now available for purchase at Satechi.net and is priced at $119.99. Early shoppers can enjoy a 20% discount using the CES20 promotional code.

That's nice for that design style, but I'm preferring the flatter designs that are less likely to fall out on airplanes and in wall sockets that are worn.

Will have to test their intelligent power distribution implementation, so far only Apple and Belkin have a working implementation.

Not sure the bedside table is the best place for that many Lithium cells being charged while stacked on top of each other.

Whens the last time you've heard of an Apple device's OEM battery catastrophically failing while using reputable charging hardware? Never? Cool.

"Game Changing" is laughable. I have one from another brand that looks slightly smaller, but at 140w and 3 USB C ports, has PD 3.1 and came with travel adapters similar to this one, and for less than half the price.

Funny, but it says that it’s GaN - oops my bad, I assume you are talking about the devices not the charger.

Satechi stuff looks good, but I don’t find them good value for what you get.  my purchases usually end up disappointing.
I have been using similar power gan chargers from other suppliers that run cooler than my previous satechi purchases.
so amused at the “game changer” in the title.

satechi also updated their Mac mini and Mac Studio hubs with NVMe drives. And then limited them to usbc speeds rather than thunderbolt! What a fail.

Sure, how much that is because people have worked out not to heat-stress the batteries more than needed?

How convenient that they've designed it so that an Apple power cable won't work to replace its duck head.  /s

It does look like you might be able to use a standard figure 8 power cord, but the picture is at the wrong angle to be able to tell for sure.  And of course it's ridiculously overpriced, you'd think they were Apple wanting $120 for a charger.

Does anybody actually like having to hang a power brick off of an outlet?  It's never convenient anywhere I go.
