The performance will take place on Sunday, February 11 during the halftime break at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.

    Three thoughts:

    1. Are the 90s back already?

    2. With no disrespect intended to Usher, perhaps Apple could consider using this incredible platform to showcase an exciting NEW performer we should all keep an eye one instead of — or alongside — a very familiar act with nothing left to prove?

    3, But if you’re going to go with a sure-fire crowd-pleaser, whassamattah Apple — Dolly Parton wasn’t available? :)

Maybe the NFL actually picked Usher to do the Super Bowl half-time show and not Apple? And what if Apple announces that they have rights to film in 3-D and stream on Apple TV the next day so that people can watch in 3-D on their new Apple Vision Pro?

While I’m sure the NFL has approval on artist choices, Apple bought the rights to stage the halftime show last year and are responsible for the production. You might be right, but Apple made it clear that they wanted Rihanna last year, so it seems like Apple gets to pick the featured artist.

“So the league starts with popular performers who appeal to as many people as possible and goes from there. However, it’s not the NFL that chooses who takes the stage. The league comes up with a short list, but the host cities pick the Super Bowl halftime performers.“
