Apple first introduced FaceTime and Continuity Camera for the Apple TV during WWDC 2023. Webex promised to release an Apple TV app taking advantage of the technology and has finally done so.

According to a Webex blog post, the Apple TV app is now available to download. It is built to be a simple interface that makes it easy for users to join meetings on their TV.

Webex Apple TV app features include:

  • Sign in via QR code

  • View upcoming meetings with calendar integration

  • Use Siri Remote to browse, join meetings, and manage in-meeting call controls

  • Wirelessly connect from an iPhone or iPad

  • View up to 25 attendees, shared meeting content, and gesture reactions

Since Webex uses the Continuity Camera feature, users connect to video meetings via their iPhone camera. Before joining a meeting, Webex lets the user preview the camera and microphone status.

Download Webex from the Apple TV App Store.
