The film will star "Killers of the Flower Moon" award-winning and Academy Award-nominated lead actress Lily Gladstone. The film is set to begin streaming on Apple TV+ this year.

"Fancy Dance" follows Jax, an indigenous woman who has been raising her missing sister's daughter, Roki, on a reservation in Oklahoma. Jax is determined to find her missing sister while helping Roki prepare for a powwow.

Despite the risk of losing custody to Jax's father, the pair hit the road to track down Roki's mother. What starts as a search becomes a deep investigation into Indigenous women navigating a colonized world with a broken justice system.

"Our film 'Fancy Dance' has found the perfect home with Apple, and I am thrilled to share this beautiful story of two Seneca-Cayuga women with a global audience," Director Erica Tremblay said in a press statement.

"As a Native American filmmaker, seeing my community included in the rich tapestry of cinema is a dream come true."

"Fancy Dance" will join "Killers of the Flower Moon," which began streaming on Apple TV+ in January after a successful run in theaters. The debut date for "Fancy Dance" isn't clear.
